Dr. Steven Fallon
Dr. Steven D. Fallon is a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon and partner at Berks Oral Surgery + Dental Implant Center. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996, he began his dental career at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving his DMD in 2001. During that time, he received the Theodore Blum Oral Surgery Award for his clinical excellence in the field. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the Medical College of Virginia in 2005 and has since been practicing full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. He received his board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2007. Dr. Fallon is a Diplomate of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and an active member of both the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Dental Anesthesia.
Dr. Fallon maintains surgical privileges and is the current Division Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Reading Hospital Tower Health. His comprehensive training included all aspects of the specialty, with an emphasis on dental implant surgery, bone grafting, full arch dental implant rehabilitation, removal of wisdom teeth, corrective jaw surgery, and outpatient general anesthesia. During his early years in clinical practice at Berks Oral Surgery, he developed and was the creator of the New Teeth Today® procedure, providing a graftless, immediate, and minimally invasive surgical technique to provide patients with a non-removable full arch tooth replacement alternative. His clinical expertise also includes the placement of zygomatic implants, and other forms of remote anchorage, to help patients with extreme bone loss who may have previously been told they were not good candidates for implant therapy. Restoring a patient’s smile and providing them with a functional and esthetic replacement option for their missing or failing dentition is his passion, and he is a recognized leader in this field.
Dr. Fallon is one of the early adopters of using robotic-assistance in the field of dental implant surgery. YOMI is the first FDA-cleared, robot-assisted surgical system for dental implants, designed to enhance accuracy, safety, and efficiency. It assists surgeons with 3D planning and provides haptic (physical) guidance during procedures, often allowing for minimally invasive “flapless” surgery, which can result in faster recovery and less pain.
Dr. Fallon serves as a national speaker for Nobel Biocare, educating residents and peers on advanced dental implant surgical techniques and robotic assistance. He continues to develop and learn new techniques to provide patients with the most advanced, precise, and personalized care possible today. “Always be a student, always be a teacher,” is a mantra that helps shape Dr. Fallon’s professional life.
He is incredibly grateful to be an oral & maxillofacial surgeon and to work collaboratively with his partners and referring colleagues. In his spare time, Dr. Fallon enjoys spending time with his family, going to the Jersey shore, staying active, playing golf, and woodworking.
